Brooks/'Charles'". B/w, 10x8 overall, image 9x6¼ (one surface). Depicted
as Charles Hamilton, the ill-fated first husband of Scarlett O'Hara (played by
Vivien Leigh, also pictured not signing) in Gone With the Wind
(1939). Actor Rand Brooks (1918-2003) is best known for playing
Charles Hamilton, the ill-fated first husband of Scarlett O'Hara in Gone With
the Wind (1939). He had made his film debut the previous year in Love
Finds Andy Hardy, and his other films include Northwest Passage,
The Son of Monte Cristo, Niagara Falls, Joan of Arc, The
Cimarron Kid, To Hell and Back and Requiem for a Gunfighter.
Brooks, who co-starred as Hopalong Cassidy's sidekick, Lucky Jenkins, in
12 films, also played Corporal Boone on television's The Adventures of Rin
Tin Tin and guest starred on many TV series. His first wife was Stan
Laurel's daughter, Lois, with whom he ran a private paramedic service
(1966-1995). Minor surface smudges (not evident head on). Fine
condition.
