Photograph signed: "Stand/in tough/'Tex'" in blue ink. B/w, 8x10. Randall "Tex" Cobb (b.1950) is a retired American heavyweight boxer, kick boxer and actor. Originally from Bridge City, Texas, Cobb started his professional career in kickboxing in 1975, going on to win 9 straight matches before his first two losses. In 1977 Cobb began training in heavy weight boxing and won his first pro fight by knocking out Pedro Vega. A powerful hitter, Cobb finished his pro boxing career with 42 wins, 7 losses and 1 draw. 35 of his wins were by knockout! While boxing he earned such a name for himself he was asked to appear in films, his first The Champ in 1979. Between 1983 and 2001, Cobb made 33 screen appearances, including Liar Liar (1997), The Golden Child (1986) and Raising Arizona (1987) in which he played the menacing, spine crunching bounty hunter, Leonard Smalls.
