RANDOLPH SCOTT
The actor pens his name on this printed still from The Stranger Wore a Gun (1953)
Printed Photograph signed in Ink: "Randolph Scott", in black felt tip, b/w, 10x8. Scott is
shown here with actress Joan Weldon in the film The Stranger Wore a Gun (1953). Born
Randolph Crane, Scott (1903-1987) made his film debut in 1928's Sharp Shooters, the first
of the many Westerns he would make over the course his movie career. By the mid-1930s he
was a romantic lead and co-star, and from 1950-1953 Scott was one of the top ten box office
attractions. The virile, weathered Scott is best known for his cowboy roles; in the 1940s
and 1950s, he starred in 39 big-budget Westerns, including Virginia City (1940). His last
film, Ride the High Country (1962), was one of his best. Fine condition.
