Signature: "Ray Allison" in green felt. 5x3. Ray Allison (b. 1959) is a retired NHL right wing
who played 7 seasons with the Hartford Whalers and Philadelphia Flyers between 1979
and 1987. He retired with a record of 64 goals and 93 assists in 238 games. While he entered
the NHL as the first draft pick ever for the Whalers, he failed to impress his scouts and later
suffered a broken ankle, never fully regaining his strength. He played in the AHL following his
