I am in love with all of you and shall remember the sea of affection that surrounded all of us constantly. Please let me come back, next year! Hoping to see you both soon, up your way, with Maggie. Yours". Ray Bradbury (1920-2012) is the favorite science fiction writer of many readers who don't normally like SF. Among his classic novels - all these became films - are The Martian Chronicles (1950), The Illustrated Man (1951), Fahrenheit 451 (1953) and Something Wicked This Way Comes (1962). His Ray Bradbury Theater ran on TV from 1985 to 1992. The Emmy-winning, Oscar-nominated writer won the Science Fiction Writers Association's Grand Master Award (1988), the National Book Foundation Medal for Distinguished Contribution to American Letters (2000) and the National Medal of Arts (2004). American author Barnaby Conrad founded the Santa Barbara Writers' Conference in 1973, and ran it until 2004. Bradbury got his wish to return to the conference. He was a participant from the initial conference through 2010, missing for the first time in 2011. Normal mailing folds. Soiled and toned at edges. Lightly creased. Otherwise, fine condition.
