Name imprinted at lower margin. Orchestra leader and conductor Ray Conniff (1916-2002), the founder of the Ray Conniff Orchestra and Singers, has recorded over 90 albums and sold over 65 million albums, cassettes and CDs. His first LP, S'Wonderful, for Columbia Records, was one of the best-selling instrumental albums of that time, and he went on to record 25 straight Top 40 LPs for the label in the 1950s and 1960s. In 1974, Conniff was the first pop artist from the West asked to go to Moscow to record an album. Conniff, who recorded a number of international albums (including Ray Conniff in Britain for CBS Records and a number of albums for Discos CBS International), gave concerts in Brazil less than a year before his death. One of his last appearances was a performance of "Somewhere My Love" at the wedding of Liza Minnelli and David Gest. Minor surface creases (not evident head on). Light black mark at lower right margin. Fine condition.
