Printed photograph signed in ink: "Ray Danton" in blue ink. B/w, 8x10. Ray Danton (1931-1992) was an American actor who worked on stage in film, television and on the radio. He was also a director and producer. He made his acting debut in 1955 in Chief Crazy Horse, after which he became contracted to Universal Pictures. In 1956 he won a Golden Globe for the new male star of the year in film. Later he worked for Warner Bros. which led to his most famous role The Rise and Fall of Legs Diamond (1960). In the film he played a the gangster Legs Diamond, after continued to be cast as a gangster starring in films like The George Raft Story and Portrait of a Mobster. Corners rounded and creased. Slightly toned. Rounded throughout. Ink notes on verso in unknown hand. Otherwise, fine condition.
