Commemorative Sheet signed: "Ray Dolby", 8½x11. Depicts Lee De Forest's "Device for Amplifying Feeble Electrical Currents", which was patented in 1907, 11-cent Progress in Electronics stamp affixed, postmarked New York, New York, July 10, 1973, FIRST DAY OF ISSUE. Facsimile signatures of De Forest and three others at lower margin. Engineer Ray Dolby (1933-2013) founded Dolby Laboratories in 1965. His innovations in sound include the high-quality cassettes in car stereos and the multi-channel digital surround sound in movie theaters. In 1989, Dolby received an Oscar and an Emmy for his important contributions to motion pictures and television. Vertical crease at far right. Overall, fine condition.
