Ray Floyd signs a commemorative envelope honoring the 29th Ryder Cup.
Commemorative Cover signed: "Ray Floyd", 9½x4. Cover honoring the 29th
Ryder Cup September 27-29, 1991 Kiawah Island, S. C. 75th Anniversary PGA,
29-cent flag stamp affixed, pictorially postmarked Ryder Cup Station Kiawah
Island Station September 25, 1991. Ray Floyd, who turned pro in 1961, racked
up 22 PGA tour victories, including two PGA Championships (1969, 1982), the
1976 Masters and the 1986 U.S. Open. Floyd indeed ran away with the
Masters in 1976, tying Jack Nicklaus' record of 17 strokes under par for the
tournament and finishing 8 strokes ahead of runner up Ben Crenshaw. Since
joining the Senior Tour in 1992, he has finished first in 14 events as of
October 2002. Fine condition.
