Signature: "Ray Milland", 3½x2¼ card affixed to 6¼x5 album
leaf. Four photographs, b/w, varying sizes, affixed around signature; magazine
caption affixed at lower margin. Welsh actor Ray Milland (1907-1986) spent the
1930s and early 1940s playing light romantic leads in such films as Next Time
We Love (1936), Three Smart Girls (1936), Easy Living (1937),
in which he is especially charming opposite Jean Arthur in an early Preston
Sturges script, and Billy Wilder's The Major and the Minor (1942),
playing the Major opposite Ginger Rogers. Milland won an Oscar for his
intense and realistic portrait of an alcoholic in The Lost Weekend
(1945). Irregular left edge from removal from bound book. Light paper loss
at left margin and at lower photograph. Color photograph 3¼x4½ affixed on verso
(no show through). Overall, fine condition.
