RAY STEVENS
Black and white publicity photograph of Ray Stevens wearing Napoleon costume
Printed photograph signed in ink: "Best Wishes!/Ray Stevens". B/w, 8x10. Captioned at bottom margin. Equally at home in country or pop music, Ray Stevens (born in 1939) can wax sentimental, as in "Everything Is Beautiful" (1970). More often his hits have been novelty and satirical songs, from "Ahab the Arab" (1962) to "Osama-yo Mama" (2002). Indicative of his approach are such titles as "Would Jesus Wear a Rolex?", "I Saw Elvis In a UFO", and "I Need Your Help Barry Manilow." Light creasing at margins. Otherwise, fine condition.
