Screen and television actor Raymond Hatton (1887-1971) appeared in almost 500
films after making his debut in 1909. He was part of a comedy team with
Wallace Beery in early silents, including Behind the Front (1926) and
Now We're In the Air (1927), and Hatton is also known for portraying
Rusty Joslin in The Three Mesquiteers films. He was also in the
Rough Riders series with Buck Jones and Tim McCoy, and Hatton
played sidekick to Johnny Mack Brown and Bob Livingston. In addition to
his film Westerns, Hatton also appeared on a number of TV western series,
including The Gene Autry Show, Hopalong Cassidy, The Cisco
Kid, Adventures of Wild Bill Hickok, Annie Oakley,
Cheyenne, Death Valley Days, Tales of the Texas Rangers,
Sugarfoot and Tombstone Territory, as well as other TV shows, such
as Adventures of Superman and Circus Boy. His last film role was
as an elderly man picking up bottles in the 1967's In Cold Blood. Minor
surface creases, most not evident head on. Soiled at blank margins and corners,
with ¼-inch tear at mid-right edge. Overall, fine condition.
