RAYMOND HATTON. Printed Invitation signed in ink: "Raymond
Hatton", 6x4½ card. Formal invitation to attend the dedication of the
original Paramount Studios as a California state registered landmark, 1956
December 27. Raymond Hatton (1887-1971) moved from vaudeville stages into
silent movies, appearing in Cecil B. DeMille films (The Whispering
Chorus, 1917) and later paired with Wallace Beery in Paramount
comedies. With the advent of talkies, he played supporting roles, often as a
Western sidekick for Johnny Mack Brown and other. In the 1950s he made guest
appearances in TV series, including Abbott and Costello and
Superman. Lightly creased. Slightly soiled. Ink correction (unknown hand)
