R.C. Bannon, born Dannie Shipley in Dallas, Texas (b.1945), is a country
music singer-songwriter who made popular hits throughout the late 70s and early
80s. He was married to singer Louise Mandrell (sister of Barbara Mandrell of
the famed Mandrell family) with whom he charted six duets, including
"Reunited"--the most popular song of their careers. Before the couple's
split in 1991, they recorded 5 albums together, including Inseparable
(1979), Love Won't Let Us Go (1980) and You're My Super Woman/You're
My Incredible Man (1982). Since then he's continued song-writing, most
recently co-writing Steve Azar's "I Don't Have to Be Me ('Til Monday)" in the
early 2000s. Fine condition.
