The actors sign opposite sides of a 5½x4½ album leaf.
Autograph Sentiments signed: "Best Regards/Red Buttons" and, on verso, "Best Regards/Don Lurio", 5½x4½ album leaf. Names written (unknown hand) in pencil at upper portion of each side. Each side is also dated "1978" in pencil. In 1978, Buttons appeared in one feature film, Movie Movie, and a made-for-TV movie, The Users, and he appeared on an episode of Vega$. Born Aaron Chwatt, RED BUTTONS (1919-2006) got his nickname as an 18-year-old singing bellhop in a Bronx tavern. His TV show was a big hit in its first season (1952), landing him on the cover of "Time" magazine. Buttons won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for Sayonara (1957), and nominations for the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for Harlow (1965) and They Shoot Horses, Don't They (1969). New York-born actor and choreographer DON LURIO (1929-2003) made his film debut in the French/West German/Italian film, Casino de Paris, which he also choreographed. Lurio, who appeared in several Italian films through 1999, was also seen in the U.S. film, The Bobo (1967), and on an Italian TV series, Quo vadiz? (1984-1985). Lightly creased. Light stain at the "R" of Red. Minor show through of writing. Irregular left edge from removal from bound book. Pencil notes (unknown hand) on front and verso (not affecting signatures. Otherwise, fine condition.
