Buttons (1919-2006) got his nickname as an 18-year-old singing bellhop in a
Bronx tavern. His TV show was a big hit in its first season (1952),
landing him on the cover of "Time" magazine. Buttons won the Academy Award
for Best Supporting Actor for Sayonara (1957), and nominations for
the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for Harlow (1965) and They Shoot
Horses, Don't They (1969). Light show through of ink blot on verso at lower
right margin. Fine condition.
