Captioned at lower margin: "Heart of the Matter Red Buttons keeps the Oscar he got for Sayonara (1957) 'close to my heart,' and in the bar room of his Bel Aire mansion, next to his German Renaissance paintings, his memorabilia, and his wife's collection of antique glass." Reproduction of a page from Esquire magazine, April 11, 1978 issue. Captioned photograph of George Burns at upper portion. Born Aaron Chwatt, Red Buttons (1919-2006) got his nickname as an 18-year-old singing bellhop in a Bronx tavern.
