Captioned: "Red Buttons". Born Aaron Chwatt, Red Buttons
(1919-2006) got his nickname as an 18-year-old singing bellhop in a Bronx
tavern. His TV show was a big hit in its first season (1952), landing him
on the cover of "Time" magazine. Buttons won the Academy Award for Best
Supporting Actor for Sayonara (1957), and nominations for the Best
Supporting Actor Oscar for Harlow (1965) and They Shoot Horses,
Don't They (1969). Corners rounded. Light surface creases. Small stains in
center. Otherwise, fine condition.
