Typed Letter signed: "Reid F. Murray" as US Representative, 1 page, 8x10. Washington, D.C., 1950 March 20. On his Congressional letterhead to Henry O. Meisel, Clintonville, Wisconsin. In full: "In further reply to your recent communication regarding your veteran's claim, I am enclosing a copy of report just received from Regional Office, Milwaukee, Wis. It is noted that the report of your present hospitalization has been considered and you have been advised of the disapproval of your claim and of your right to appeal your case. Under the circumstances, I do not know of any further action that I can take on your behalf. Sincerely yours". Accompanied by an unsigned copy of the Veterans Administration letter cited in Murray's letter.Reid F. Murray (1887-1952), formerly an agricultural agent and professor of agriculture at the University of Wisconsin, represented that State in the US Congress as a Republican from 1939 until his death. Multiple mailing folds. Lightly toned at edges. Corners lightly creased. Otherwise, fine condition.
