Photograph signed "Renato Bruson/.83". B/w,4¼x6. Bruson, born in Granze, Italy in 1936, is an Italian tenor. A member of his church choir as a child, he studied music at the conservatory in Padua despite a lack of support from his family. He debuted in 1961 at the Teatro Lirico Sperimentale in Spoleto as the Conte di Luna in Verdi's Il Trovatore, at the New York Metropolitan Opera in 1968 as Enrico in Gaetano Donizetti's Lucia di Lemmermoor and at the Teatro alla Scala in 1972 in another Donizetti opera, Linda di Chamonix. Errors from negative have been reproduced on photograph. Otherwise in fine condition.
