Belisario in Buenos Aires, Argentina. BrusonwasBeliario,
Zampieri was Antonina, Toczyska was Irene, Terranova was Alamiro, with Toczyska
conducting. BRUSON, born in Granze, Italy in 1936, is an Italian tenor. A
member of his church choir as a child, he studied music at the conservatory in
Padua despite a lack of support from his family. He debuted in 1961 at the
Teatro Lirico Sperimentale in Spoleto as the Conte di Luna in Verdi's Il
Trovatore, at the New York Metropolitan Opera in 1968 as Enrico in Gaetano
Donizetti's Lucia di Lemmermoor and at the Teatro alla Scala in 1972 in
another Donizetti opera, Linda di Chamonix. TOCZYSKA, born
Stepania Krzywinska in Grudziadz, Poland in 1943, is an Polish tenor. She won a
number of international voice competitions just before and after her operatic
debut, in Stanislaw Moniuszko's The
Haunted Manor at the Baltic Opera House in Gdansk, Poland in 1972. After
staying with the Baltic Opera House for seven years, Toczkysa debuted in America
at the San Francisco Opera in 1979 as Laura in Arrigo Boito's La
Gioconda, at Covent Garden in 1983 as Amneris in Verdi's Aïda and her
Metropolitan Opera debut in 1988 as Marfa in Modest Mussorgsky's
Khovanshchina. ZAMPIERI, born in Padua, Italy in 1951, is an
Italian lyric soprano. A student of the Padua Conservatorie, she debuted at the
Fraschini Theatre in Pavia, Lombardy, Italy, then appeared in other Italian
opera houses - including the famous Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Italy - and
throughout Europe and the United States with a repertoire of over 50 works. She
also inaugurated the Festival do Estoril in Lisbon, Portugal and the Symphonic
Season in Prague in 2003, with concerts dedicated to Hector Berlioz on the
bicentenary of his birth. TERRANOVA, born Calogero Antonio Vittorio
Terranova in Licata, Sicily, Italy in 1942, is an Italian tenor. MASINI
(1938 or 1939-1993) was an Italian conductor. Lightly toned. Covers are
lightly creased and scuffed. Some pages are creased. Light transference from
signatures on some pages. Otherwise in fine condition.
