one surface. Postmarked Nashville, Tennessee, Sept. 12, 1978. Warner
Brothers Records postcard. Captioned: on front: "Rex Allen, Jr."
Allen, born in Chicago, Illinois in 1947, started singing at age six and
recording in 1974, scoring a top 20 hit on the Billboard Country Singles
chart right off the bat with Goodbye. In all, Allen put five top
10 singles on the country charts, all between 1977 and 1978: I'm Good at
Missing You (Solitare)(1977), Two Less Lonely People (1977),
Lonely Street (1978), No, No, No (I'd Rather Be Free) (1978) and
With Love (1978). Fans of comedian Jim Carrey may recognize his voice
as that of the narrator in Me, Myself and Irene (2000). Lightly
toned, creased and bowed. Postmark touches signature on verso. Light scratches
(not visible head-on) and scuff marks on image. Top corners are scuffed. Bottom
left corner is rounded. Otherwise in fine condition.
