RHONDA FLEMING The actress sent this signed note to George Sanders letting him know when she can be reached. Autograph Note Signed: "Rhonda". 1p, 5x3¾ personal imprinted notepaper. Los Angeles, California, 1963 [September, no day]. To George [Sanders], Portland, Oregon. In full: "You can reach me at my home number - CR-3-4242 - will be leaving to do a charity show in Houston - end of the week - but should be back on Sunday - Would love to see you-". Actress Rhonda Fleming (b. 1923) was a starlet on the big screen during the 1940's. Her distinct red hair made her stand out in the color films. In 1946, Fleming earned her first major film role as the nymphomaniac mental patient in Alfred Hitchcock's Spellbound. While working at Paramount from 1947 through 1957, she played opposite such diverse leading men as Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, Ronald Reagan and Donald O'Connor. Her other notable credits include Out of the Past (1947), The Spiral Staircase (1945), and The Queen of Babylon (1954). George R. Sanders, originally a disc jockey, became a prominent radio/TV interview host, first in Los Angeles and later in Portland. He collected autograph from guests on his show. Fine condition.
