Tyler was a Confederate soldier during the Civil War who fought as part of
the 38th Battalion of Virginia. Nero Crawford fought in the 33rd
Colored Infantry during the Civil War on the Union side. The
31st-35th were the only "Colored" regiments during the war, in South Carolina a
small group were recognized stemming from the 1st South Carolina Volunteers.
Henry Zell was an employee under the Secretary of Treasury department of
the Department of Interior in the 1880s. George McGoines merits further
research. All signers are worthy of more detailed research. Toned. Edges
darkened. Left edge torn from book. Minute dark stains throughout. Otherwise,
fine condition.
