At CBS, Hottelet covered national and international news, including UN coverage. He reported for CBS for a total of 41 years (1944-1985).After retiring from CBS, he continued to write op-ed pieces for the Christian Science Monitor, and was made a Presidential Fellow at George Washington University in 2005.
