Richard Dix signs an autograph sentiment on an index card in green

Autograph Sentiment Signed: "Cordially/Richard Dix", 5x3 index
card attached to 8x5 album leaf (two surfaces). Richard Dix (1894-1949),
the rugged leading man of many silent films made his debut in 1921. He often
played the strong, silent type in his early films, and was the hero in the
modern part of DeMille's The Ten Commandments (1923). He also played an
Indian Nophaie in The Vanishing American (1925). Richard Dix achieved
his greatest success, a Best Actor Oscar nomination, for Cimarron
(1930) which won the Best Picture Oscar. Ink has spread. Photograph
mounting tabs at corners. Mounting paper has ink notes (unknown hand) at upper
and lower margins. Lightly jagged at bottom margin. Otherwise, fine
condition.
