Rhodes scholar Richard LUGAR was Mayor of Indianapolis (1968-1976) and has represented Indiana in the U.S. Senate since 1977. Twice Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Relations (1985-1987, 2003-2007), he sought the Republican Presidential nomination in 1996. DIRECTLY FROM THE SALE OF THE ESTATE OF DANIEL PATRICK MOYNIHAN (1927-2003). Moynihan served four terms in the U.S. Senate (1977-2001) as a Democrat representing New York.
