RICHARD JORDAN The Golden Globe-winning actor who played Dirk Pitt in Raise the Titanic signed this black and white photograph still from the film Printed Photograph Signed in Ink: “best / wishes / Richard / Jordan”. B/w. 8x10. Actual image 7½x 9¾ with a white border (one surface). This photograph depicts the actor staring towards the operation to get the sunken vessel out of the Atlantic Ocean. It was an adaptation of a Clive Cussler novel. Richard Jordan (1937-1993) was a stage and screen actor who earned dozens of credits over the course of his 30-year career. He made his Broadway debut in 1961 and his television debut a year later. In 1976, he starred in the television mini-series Captains and the Kings; his role as Joseph Armagh earned him a Golden Globe Award. Films he appeared in include Dune (1984), Logan's Run (1976), and Gettysburg (1993). The latter film was his final credit, although he filmed some scenes for The Fugitive (1993) before his passing. He was eventually replaced by Jeroen Krabbé for the role of Dr. Nichols. Fine condition.
