with a gold gilt frame, with printed 15-cent stamp, postmarked Ontario,
California, September 2, 1978, FIRST DAY OF ISSUE. Richard Petty (born in
1937), a veteran of the racing circuit, holds the record for the most career
Winston Cup victories with 200 and the record for the most consecutive
wins (ten). He is a seven-time NASCAR national champ, and Petty has
won the Daytona 500 seven times. Counting his father, son and grandson,
four generations of Petty's have pursued auto racing careers. Fine
condition.
