Lightly toned, foxed and soiled. Tape residue along edges, touching both signatures. Adhesive residue on verso (no show-through). Folded once and unfolded. Otherwise in fine condition. Accompanied by: Typed letter of transmission on letterhead of Williamson Music Limited, signed by Rodgers' secretary in blue ink. Dated March 23, 1960. Lightly toned, foxed, soiled, stained and creased. Tape residue on near left edges. Tear in center of letter. Pinhole near bottom edge. Light tear near bottom edge. Folded twice vertically and horizontally; folded once horizontally. Light tear in left edge along bottom fold. Otherwise in fine condition. Composer RODGERS (1902-1979, born in New York City) and lyricist HAMMERSTEIN (1895-1960, born in New York City) collaborated on nine musicals, including Oklahoma! (1943), Carousel (1945), South Pacific (1949), The King and I (1951), The Flower Drum Song (1958) and The Sound of Music (1959).
