In 1984, Roundtree also appeared on the big screen in Killpoint, and was seen on television in the made-for-TV movie, The Baron and The Kid. Best known for his role as John Shaft in three feature films, Shaft (1971), Shaft's Big Score! (1972) and Shaft in Africa, the TV series, Shaft (1973-1974), and the 2000 remake of Shaft (in which he played Samuel L. Jackson's Uncle John Shaft), actor Richard Roundtree (1942-2023) has appeared in a long list of feature films, made-for-TV movies, TV miniseries and series and numerous television shows as a guest star. His feature films include Earthquake (1974), Inchon (1981), Seven (1995), Corky Romano (2001) and Boat Trip (2003), and he gave acclaimed performance in the 1977 miniseries, Roots. Roundtree was also a regular performer on such TV series as Outlaws (1986-1987), Cadets (1988), Generations (1989-1991), Buddies (1996), 413 Hope St. (1997-1998) and Rescue 77 (1999), and he also appeared on the daytime soap, As The World Turns, from 2002-2003. Roundtree's long list of TV guest starring appearances include a recurring role as Mr. Shaw on Desperate Housewives (2004, 2005). Fine condition.
