RICHARD S. BECKER
This First Day Cover that honors the United States armed forces is signed by the WWII and Korean War veteran
First Day Cover signed: "Richard S. 'Dick' Becker/ 334th Ftr Intcp. Sq./ 4th Ftr Intcp. Group/ 2nd Jet Ace/ Korean War 1950-1951", 6½x3½. FDC honoring Uniforms of the Armed Forces, 10-cent Continental Navy stamp affixed, postmarked Washington, D.C., July 4, 1975, FIRST DAY OF ISSUE. Richard S. "Dick" Becker was a flying ace who was the second ace to notch his five kills in the Korean War. His numerous awards include a Silver Star, a Purple Heart, and a Distinguished Flying Cross. Becker passed away in 2015 and was buried in Arlington National Cemetery. Fine condition.
