Document signed "Richard Thorne" in blue ink. Green ink
notations in unknown hand. 2 pages, 6½x9, 1 sheet, front and verso. With 6½x3½
initiation fee receipt carbon copy with perforated left edge stapled at top left
corner. 1954 September 30. Membership form for the American Federation of
Television and Radio Artists as an actor. Richard Thorne (1904-1957) was
a bit player that sometimes worked under the name "Dick Thorne". His first known
part was in Whistling in Brooklyn (1943). He has brief appearances in
They Were Expendable (1945), Return of the Badmen (1948),
Adventures of Wild Bill Hickok (1955) and as an extra in Around the
World in Eighty Days (1956). Form is lightly creased and toned at top edge.
Receipt is creased and has carbon copy marks. Otherwise in fine
condition.
