Rick Ley (b. 1948) is a retired NHL and WHA player, playing for 13
seasons between both leagues. He began in 1968 with the Toronto Maple Leafs,
and continued with them until transferring to the WHA's New England Whalers in
1979. After the collapse of the WHA, Ley stayed with the Whalers when they
transferred into the NHL and changed their name to the Hartford Whalers. He
was a captain for six years for the Whalers, and after retirement, went on to
coach for several teams. Unrelated player info included on the verso.
