Photograph Signed: "1965/Rina Morelli/ [illegible]" B/w, 4¼x5¾. Italian Cinema actress Rina Morelli (1908-1976) brought charisma to her characters from the very young age of seven when she made her debut in 'Morte Civile' by Paolo Giacometti, directed by famous stage actor Ermete Zacconi alongside her father Amilcare Brillanti. With a tiny physique but extraordinary expressive power, Morelli was adored for her work with the company of Teatro Eliseo, providing a certain interesting and magical performance in productions such as; William Shakespeare's 'La dodicesima notte' (Twelfth Night) (1938), and 'Le allegre comari di Windsor' (The Merry Wives of Windsor) (1939). Also well known in film, Morelli lends her sensitivity to many dramatic films such as; Sense (1953), The Leopard (1963) and The Innocent (1976). A woman of versitile talent, Morelli was very active in voice dubbing. She dubbed a certain number of Italian actresses in Italian films as well as Italian actresses in foreign films. She also lent her voice to many American and British actresses. She was the official Italian voice of Judy Holliday and Lizabeth Scott. Fine condition.
