actress/comedienne Phyllis Diller, postmarked Los Angeles, California, December 14,
1984. In full: "It gives me great pleasure to announce that I have broken the laxative habit." Rip
Taylor (1934-2019), a zany actor and comedian who is known as the "King of Confetti"
and "Prince of Pandemonium", has headlined in Las Vegas, appeared in plays and musicals,
starred in feature and made-for-television films and appeared on television talk shows, game
shows, series and variety shows, including Ed Sullivan, Dean Martin, Rowan & Martin's
Laugh In and Saturday Night Live. Taylor, who made his film debut in 1964 in I'd Rather Be
Rich, has appeared in feature films including The Gong Show Movie (1980), Home Alone 2:
Lost in New York (1992), Wayne's World 2 (1993), Indecent Proposal (1993), Private
Obsession (1994) and Alex and Emma (2003). His television credits include made-for-TV
movies such as The Gossip Columnist (1979), and several TV series, including The Beautiful
Phyllis Diller Show (1968), The $1.98 Beauty Show (1978-1980) and Down to Earth
(1984-1990). Taylor received an Emmy Award nomination in 1994 for his role as Uncle
Fester in the animated TV series, The Addams Family. Creased. Halves of broken red seal at
