Rob Ramage (b.1959) is a retired NHL defenseman who played professionally for 15 seasons with the Colorado Rockies, St. Louis Blues, Calgary Flames, Toronto Toros, Minnesota North Stars, Tampa Bay Lightning, Montreal Canadiens and Philadelphia Flyers between 1979 and 1994. Ramage is a four-time NHL All-Star (1981, 1984, 1986, 1998), and he also has won two Stanley Cups, one for the Calgary flames (1989) and the other for the Montreal Canadiens (1993). In 2003, about ten years after he retired, Ramage was driving with former Chicago Blackhawks captain Keith Magnuson when he drove his rental car into oncoming traffic and collided with another vehicle, injuring the other driver and killing Magnuson. He was charged with impaired driving causing death and dangerous driving causing death. In 2007 he was found guilty on all counts and was sentenced to four years in prison, despite the pleas of Magnuson's family who forgave Ramage for the accident. Ramage, after being denied his first application for day parole, was granted his second application for day parole. He is now barred from drinking and must receive psychological counseling as ordered by the court. Although he had a very successful hockey career, his unfortunate conviction has marred the hockey All-Star's reputation. In the NHL, Ramage played 1044 games, scoring 139 goals and aiding in 425 assists. Fine condition.
