ROB SCHNEIDER Comedian Rob Schneider signed this AFTRA contract in 2001 to appear on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno for $775, the same year he released his comedy The Animal. Contract signed "Rob Schneider" as performer and by a representative of NBC Studios, Inc., both in blue ink. Black and blue ink notations and pink highlighter marks in unknown hand. 2 pages, 8½x13¾, 1 sheet folded, front and verso. May 2, 2001. Addressed to From Out of Nowhere, Inc. f/s/o Rob Schneider c/o John Schneider, Pacifica, California. Standard AFTRA Engagement Contract for Network Television. Schneider signed this contract to appear on the May 2, 2001 episode of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno for $775 plus 10 percent. Schneider released The Animal, a comedy he starred in and co-wrote. He also appeared at the MTV Movie Awards as Imhotep in a parody of The Mummy entitled, appropriately enough, The Mummy Parody. He played a referee in Little Nicky. Schneider, born in 1963, was a stand-up comedian when Saturday Night Live producer Lorne Michaels discovered him during an HBO comedy special. Schneider joined SNL as a regular performer (1990-1994) and made a name for himself with characters like Richard "The Richmeister" Laymer and Sensitive Naked Man, not to mention celebrity impersonations as far flung as Elvis Presley, k. d. lang and Adolf Hitler. He also shared three Emmy nominations with the rest of the SNL crew for writing. Schneider left to pursue a film career and, after a few supporting roles and failed vehicles, scored gold in the critically reviled but audience-pleasing Deuce Bigelow: Male Gigolo (1999). The 2005 sequel, Deuce Bigelow, European Gigolo, was panned by critics and audiences alike and earned him a Razzie for Worst Actor. Schneider has appeared in over 50 movies and TV shows ss of this biography, 16 of them with fellow SNL alumnus Adam Sandler (including a notable cameo as the "Yoo cahn doo eet!" guy in 1998's The Waterboy). Lightly toned and creased. Staple holes and light tears at top edge. Comes folded once. Otherwise in fine condition. Previously authenticated by JSA.
