Photograph signed "Robby Albarado" in purple ink. Black and blue ink notations on verso. Color, 9¾x7¾. According to notations on the back of this photo, Albarado's horse in this photo is Dream's Galore. Albarado, born in Lafayette, Louisiana in 1973, is an American thoroughbred horse racing jockey. A racer since 12, when he rode at bush tracks in Louisiana, he scored his first career victory in 1990 at Evangeline Downs riding One Little Point and his first Breeder's Cup win riding Curlin at the 2007 Classic. He's raced over 3,000 races with over $11 million in earnings, a 20 percent win rate and a 50 percent in-the-money rate as of October of 2008. He's also suffered his share of near-tragedies, with two skull fractures in 17 months between 1998 and 1999, the second requiring the replacement of a damaged portion of his skull. Lightly creased. Light dent at bottom edge. Otherwise in fine condition.
