Robert Ashton "Fats" Everett (1915-1969), a former county clerk,
World War II veteran, and legislative and gubernatorial aide, represented his
East Tennessee district in the US House of Representatives from 1968 until his
death. After winning a special election to fill a vacant seat, the
conservative Democrat was elected to five more terms. Mrs. Orville Crouch, the
former Barbara Norton, had been public relations director for Washington's
Sheraton Park Hotel. Normal mailing folds. Top left corner lightly
