In full: "Being 2000 miles away and unable to say when I am to be in the East, it is impossible for me to make any speaking engagements very far in advance. I think it will be necessary, therefore, fo you to leave me off your program. Very truly yours." Physicist Robert A Millikan determined the charge on the electron (1909), then confirmed Einstein's quantum photoelectric equation. For his work he won the 1923 Nobel Prize in Physics. In 1925, he coined the term "cosmic rays". Lightly toned at edges. Pinhead sized spots in blank lower left. ¼-inch tear at center of right edge. Otherwise, fine condition.
