American landscape painter Robert Bruce Crane (1857-1937) is known for his Impressionist paintings of rural Connecticut, New York and New Jersey, primarily depicting the fall and winter seasons. His works include The Approach of Darkness, painted circa 1890, the year he won the Webb Award from the Society of American Artists. Slightly soiled. Folds, not at signature. Overall, fine condition.
