Autograph Letter signed: "Robert", 1 page, 6¼x9¼. Sherman Oaks, California, undated, but accompanied by an envelope postmarked Van Nuys, California, May 5, 1962. To "Dear Barbara", in full: "Thanks so much for being so nice during my stay. I look forward to seeing you again soon. If you ever leave those politicians, and get out here with the 'Stars', give me a hail and I'll buy you a beer. Aloha". Accompanied by mailing envelope addressed in his hand to Barbara Norton, Washington, D.C. In 1959, American actor Robert Conrad (b. 1929) was cast as detective Tom Lopaka on the weekly adventure series Hawaiian Eye. Upon the cancellation of this series in 1963, Conrad made a handful of Spanish and American films and toured with a nightclub act in Australia and Mexico City. He was then cast as frontier secret agent James West in The Wild Wild West (1965-1969). He directed and starred in Black Sheep Squadron (1976-1978). Conrad has also enjoyed success as a commercial spokesman and is a member of the Stuntman's Hall of Fame. Barbara Norton was Public Relations Director for the Sheraton Park Hotel in Washington. Top edge frayed. Multiple mailing folds. Fine condition.
