ROBERT "BOB" CONSIDINE

Signature: "Bob/Considine", 5x3 card. Robert "Bob"
Considine (1906-1975) was a wire service and Heart newspaper reporter
also known for his radio broadcasts, On the Line with Bob Considine.
Well known as a war correspondent and political reporter, he covered
everything from sports to theatre, famous for composing columns quickly,
while on the run. He was also a successful ghost writer, co-authoring
Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo (while its nominal author, Doolittle raider Ted
Lawson was still recovering in the hospital); The Babe Ruth Story; and
other biographies. Although his detractors accused him of towing the Hearst
newspaper line, he had many highly placed friends and admirers, including
President Eisenhower. Lightly toned. Ink note (unknown hand) on verso.
