Emmy-nominated actor Robert Culp signs an advertisement for 1993's
The Pelican Brief as "The Prez". Culp played the President in that
movie, an adaptation of Robert Grisham's novel.
Advertisement signed: "Best/Wishes,/Robert Culp/As/'The
Prez''". B/w, 8½x11. Headed: "For Your Consideration/Best Supporting
Actor/Robert Culp/The Pelican Brief". Culp (1930-2010) made his first
film in 1963, thereafter appearing sporadically on the big screen, most
memorably as one of the four leads in the satirical Bob & Carol & Ted
& Alice (1968). He also co-starred with comedian Bill Cosby on
the popular TV series I Spy (1965-1968), which earned in him three
Emmy nominations for acting and one for writing. Culp then essayed the
semi-comic role of CIA chief Bill Maxwell on the weekly TV series The
Greatest American Hero (1981-1986), and played such film character
roles as the President in The Pelican Brief (1993). He co-starred
with Cosby again for an I Spy TV-movie reunion in 1994. Lightly toned,
stained and rippled. Light nicks at top edge. Otherwise in fine
condition.
