Inscribed photograph signed: "Mrs. Johnson-/Best Wishes-/Robert Dix", in blue ink, sepia toned, 3½x5. Robert "Bob" Dix (b. 1935) was an American actor, best known for his roles in several silent films, including Cecile B. Demille's The Ten Commandments (1923),Cimarron (1931) and Transatlantic Tunnel. The actor was one of few who was able to successfully transition from silent films to talkies, and in the late 1930's starred alongside his companion Ace, The Wonder Dog. Unfortunately, Dix died from a heart attack in 1949. Corners slightly creased. Fine condition.
