Autograph Note Signed: "Robert Donner", 1p, 8½x11. No place, 1984 July 10. To unknown recipient. In full: "I would think my most important role would be that of Exidor on Mork and Mindy. After twenty years of playing 'heavies' I finally got a chance to do comedy." Versatile screen and television actor Robert Donner (1931-2006), who made his screen debut in 1965 (Red Line 7000), has appeared in a long list of feature films, including Cool Hand Luke (1967), El Dorado (1967), Rio Lobo (1970), Chisum (1970), The Man Who Loved Cat Dancing (1973), High Plains Drifter (1973) and Allan Quatermain and the Lost City of Gold (1987). He has also appeared in a number of TV movies, and his television credits include recurring roles as Yancy Tucker on The Waltons (1972-1979) and Exidor, the leader of the Friends of Venus, an invisible cult, on Mork & Mindy (1978-1982). Donner, who appeared as a guest star on over 100 TV shows from 1961-2000, is also known for athletic abilities. A golfer with a seven handicap, he was a member of the former "Hollywood Hackers" and a leader of Don Porter's Thursday Golf Group. Donner has competed in a number of celebrity golf tournaments as well as tennis tournaments. He remained active in film and television his entire life, even completing his final feature film Hoot shortly before his death in 2006. Slightly creased. Fine condition.
