Robert Earl Jones (1910-2006) is an American actor and one of the first prominent black film stars in cinema history. He had a leading role of a detective in the race film Lying Lips (1939), after which he would act mostly in crime movies and dramas such as Wild River (1960) and One Potato, Two Potato (1964). Jones famously appeared as Luther Coleman in the Oscar-winning film The Sting (1973), an aging grifter whose con is requited with murder leading to "the sting". Jones is the father of acclaimed actor James Earl Jones. Corners rounded. Light surface creases. Stained in right margin. Slightly soiled. Otherwise, fine condition.
