ROBERT F. KENNEDY. TLS: "Bob," 1p, 7x9. No place, 1964 November 16. On stationery watermarked with the Presidential seal (no letterhead) to Robert Troutman, Jr., Atlanta, Georgia. In full: "On November 22 at 9:00 A.M., Mass will be celebrated in St. Matthew's Cathedral, Washington, in memory of President Kennedy. I wanted you to know in case you might like to attend." Robert F. Kennedy had just beenelected U.S. Senator from New York on November 3rd, less than a year after his brother, President John F. Kennedy, was assassinated in Dallas, Texas, on November 22nd. Senator Kennedy was shot in a Los Angeles hotel after declaring victory in the California Democratic Presidential Primary on June 4, 1968, dying the next day. Both brothers are buried near each other inArlington National Cemetery. Horizontal fold just touches top of "B" of signature, faint and small stains at right blank area, stray faint ink mark at blank area, near closing, else fine condition.
