Autograph letter signed: "Robert Ginty" in black ink. 1 page, 8½x11. January 8, 1973. New York City, New York. In full: "Dear Sir: You were kind enough to send me a form requesting career information for your "Theatre World". I can no longer find the form so I've suppling the information on a inclosed sheet [not included]. Thank you for your interest, and I hope you've made it over to the Lyceum to see us. Sincerely". Born in New York, Robert Ginty (1948-2009) was involved in music at an early age, playing with Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Carlos Santana and John Lee Hooker. From there, he trained at the Neighborhood Playhouse and Actor's Studio, and even studied at Yale. He moved to California in the early 1970s and became a TV action player- Baa Baa Black Sheep (1976) provided his first steady role, followed by co-starring roles in The Paper Chase (1978), Falcon Crest and Hawaiian Heat. His films include The Exterminator (1980), Gold Raiders (1983) and Exterminator 2 (1984) with small parts in Madhouse and Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man. Although his career slowed down, he worked steadily through the 1990s with producing and directing jobs on shows such as China Beach, Zena: Warrior Princess, Nash Bridges and Charmed. Light surface creases. Corners and edges worn and creased. Toned. Otherwise, fine condition.
